I saw the Escort today. See my blog 15 October 2007, in which I said we were negotiating change of ownership. That one fell through, as did two subsequent indications of interest. One bloke came back after 3 weeks to say that he had changed his mind - he didn't want the Escort - but he would pay anything we asked for the little (1983) blue corolla (that one is driven by Richard). Unfortunately for that bloke, it was not and is not on the market!!! But we successfully sold the Escort two weeks ago, and it was good to see someone driving her this morning - good that she is being used and appreciated instead of standing gathering dust next to the house.
While talking about cars, I need to brag that when we went to my nephew's wedding in Pietermaritzburg at the end March, we drove down in my Ford Focus 1.6i - and the fuel consumption was 6.5L/100Km. That's petrol economy for you!
Being in a family males, I need to boost my female companionship every now and then - even if it is only the dogs or my car.
